Baker Research L.L.C., where he develops new color standards and performs calibration services and contract research in color metrology. During 2006 he and Art Springsteen introduced a 48-color tile set that allows for more accurate testing and profiling of color instruments. Jack has pursued full-time research and development in color metrology, digital imaging, and color management since 1999. Jack is a retired computer specialist from the Los Alamos National Laboratory and professor from the University of California, Davis, where he taught physical chemistry and led research in photochemistry, radiochemistry, and chemical kinetics under sponsorship by the Department of Energy and the Air Force Office of Scientific Research. He is best known for his publications in fluorine-18 kinetics and the book, "Short-Lived Radionuclides in Chemistry and Biology" (American Chemical Society), which he co-edited with his former graduate student Dr. Kenneth A. Krohn. A former Guggenheim Scholar and Association of Western Universities Fellow, Jack has held memberships in numerous professional societies and authored more than 300 technical publications, reports, and presentations. Presently a member of the Inter Society Color Council, he holds a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University of Kansas and a Postdoctoral Certificate in radiochemistry from UCLA, where Nobel Laureate Willard F. Libby sponsored his research in plasma spectroscopy. Dr. Arthur W. Springsteen, Ph.D.Art Springsteen is the president and chief technical officer of Avian Technologies L.L.C. |
