Features of Color Standards

Mt. Baker Research offers individual color standards in 2x2-inch and 6x6-inch sizes as well as custom sizes to fit specific applications, such as online or scanning instruments. Our spectral palette includes several hundred colors.

Each 2x2-inch color standard is mounted in a holder machined from black or white Delrin. (Notes: Difference color standards are mounted in white holders. Mouse over the images of these color standards to see the labels.)

Each color standard is identified with a label placed inside the 1.5-inch diameter positioning well located on the back of the holder. The labels are printed using archival solvent- and fade-resistant inks.

Each color standard is protected by an optical component pad or bag fabricated from soft polyester felt. Each set of color standards is supplied in a durable, hermetically sealed plastic case.

Each set of color standards includes a serialized certificate and a data CD. The CD contains typical total hemispherical, specular-included spectral reflectance factors as well as technical information, user manuals, and sample certificates of calibration, translucency and validation.
