We manufacture ceramic color standards with 100 regular colors and glossy or matte surface finishes. Our color palette contains several hundred colors, and our inventory includes 12,000 ceramic tiles manufactured in Europe, Asia, and North and South America. Our new products, color standards, matrix arrays, and ceramic plates are described below.
In June, 2008 we introduced Ultra-White color standards that exhibit greater reflectance than other white ceramic tiles. We are also pleased to announce the new Profiling Set, which enables CyberChrome's OnColor Profiler software to color-manage spectrophotometers. We are the exclusive source for these new products. For applications in color metrology our standards are technically equivalent to CERAM standards, but we offer many more colors. Our standards offer the widest color gamut available in the international marketplace. For users who prefer CERAM standards we offer custom 4-tile matrix arrays made from them. Because the CERAM tiles are so expensive, we offer these arrays on a special order basis.
We deeply discount our standardized sets of color standards and 4-tile matrix arrays. Based on the current exchange rate with airmail shipment from Ceram Technology Ltd. to the U.S. and a 35% markup, one boxed set of 14 uncalibrated 2x2-inch CERAM Series II standards plus black and white standards costs roughly twice as much as one of our boxed sets. Each of our sets contains 16 standards!
We offer certified, traceable calibration and instrument validation services at our state-of-the-art metrology laboratory. We calibrate the color standards that we produce as well as customer-owned color artifacts. Depending on the number of calibrations, our fees range from 25% to 35% of the cost of similar calibrations at the National Research Council of Canada. We are also available for contract research and development projects in basic or applied color metrology.
