Validate Customer-Supplied Spectrophotometers

We offer certified traceable validations of customer-owned spectrophotometers. We test accuracy and repeatability using standard ASTM procedures and 8 (or more) calibrated reference standards from our permanent collection.

CERAM Series II tiles plus White & Black
CERAM BCRA Series II Reference Standards calibrated in the SPIN and SPEX geometries.

Special CERAM Chromatic & Achromatic tiles
CERAM Special Series II Reference Standards calibrated in the SPIN and SPEX geometries.

To provide traceability we maintain 40 reference standards recently calibrated at the National Research Council of Canada, the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, or Avian Technologies L.L.C. For the (0/45) geometry our 10 reference standards span the wavelength range 250 - 850 x 5 nm. For the SPIN and SPEX geometries the range is 360 - 830 x 1 nm.

Our fees include one printed report and 2 duplicate CD data disks. Fixturing (if required) is not included. The report includes a certificate of validation together with graphs and tables of data from tests of accuracy and repeatability. The CD includes the report together with certified performance data in Microsoft Excel format. We can supply duplicate validation reports printed at the same time as the original copy for $75.00 each.

Loaned instruments and white reference tiles must be boxed, clean, and in good working condition. We do not diagnose or service faulty instruments. Loaned instruments are insured against loss while they are on our premises. Our customers are responsible for all shipping costs, including insurance.

We are available for other validation projects on a fee-for-service basis. Contact us to request a free quote.
